JAZZ IN THE HIGH COUNTRY

This documentary photography project explores the intricacies of the local Boone jazz scene, and highlights the unique interactions between band members, the audience, and the venue that hosts them. The focus is on the visual nuances of this type of musical performance, and the relationship between the sound and the observable experience an audience member can have.

The goal of this project is to uplift jazz as an art form, and explore how Boone as an audience interacts with the jazz genre.
