MEET KATIE

Katie Weekers is a graphic designer who brings boldness, enthusiasm, and dedication to her design practice. Her interest in brand identity is rooted in her desire to infuse the mundane with joy and bring vibrancy to both digital and physical spaces. She is especially drawn to the cohesive nature of branding—where typography, color, and imagery come together to create a unified visual identity that strengthens a brand’s presence.

Her potential for growth as a designer is reflected in her curiosity to learn new techniques outside the digital realm of design such as screen printing and coding, and hobbies such as weightlifting. Above all, Katie is passionate about collaborating with clients to create thoughtful, strategic designs that not only meet their needs but also elevate their brand identity.

BEHIND THE DESIGN

Favorite Animal?
Ever since I chose the code name of "Snail" for my Summer Camp Counselor position in high school, I have loved snails. I think there is so much beauty to be found in the mathmatics and geometry of nature, and the spiral of a snail shell is just one fun, charming example of that.
Hobbies?
Outside of the world of art and design, I am incredibly committed to my fitness, and I spend a lot of time in the gym. I think having personal goals for my body, and working towards making myself stronger every day has helped me improve in so many other aspects of my life. I've learned a lot from my fitness journey, and I love to talk about it!
Go-to Font?
I'm a sucker for the classics, and I don't think anything can beat the elegance of the braketed serifs and high-contrast of Baskerville. Honestly, I enjoy any typeface that works well in all-caps, though.
