PROMOTIONAL GIG POSTERS

These posters highlight my freelance work with musicians in the High Country. I aim to provide local musicans from a wide range of genres with professional posters and promotional material that cater to their specific needs, the gaze of their audience, and the visual voice they wish to put out into the world.

This group of jazz musicians required a promotional poster for their Wednesday night jams at a local bar. They wanted a look that was professional yet subtly grungy, with text that communicated important information clearly. They wanted a heavy bright and dark contrast, with visuals that highlighted the musicians and clearly communicated the venue time and location details. They specifically requested the use of bright orange throughout the poster. They also requested a promotional logo on the poster to be used for social media.

I worked with Noah Warren to create a promotional social media post for a local Christmas gig with his new band. He wanted the poster to come across to viewers as “cozy and sophisticated”, and highlight the Christmas theme. We decided on the use of warm holiday tones and gentle visuals. He wanted the imagery to highlight the vocalist, as this was a key selling point for him. He also requested the names of the musicians be listed clearly on the poster.
